Whether you're new and want to know more, an experienced player looking for a regular game, a DM on the look out for new players, or you just fancy playing a fun one-shot adventure on a Saturday afternoon, this meetup will be place to be?! Expect to come and play from noon to 5pm. We'll teach you everything you need to know and supply all the dice etc. All you need to bring is imagination!

Rules for the meetup:
The location needs us out by 5PM and to clean up and put blue tarps back on the tables.

If you're new: You might not get a spot to play unless you read the rules! Please read the "How it works" on the message board.

If you're a DM: RSVP and describe the game you want to run on this meetup's page. List how many players you will take. Say what is expected of players (make characters, etc).

Players: RSVP and give a preference to what DM's game you would like to play in, or if you'd just like to hang out, state that. At the meetup, spots at gaming tables will be held 30 min. for the first X people who RSVP'd. People with real pictures of themselves get first choice over people with no pic.

For my game: each person bring two characters of differing roles just in case, since barely anyone posted what they were playing.

For the sake of group consistency / covering all needed roles, would a bard work well? Or even better, is there a list of what folks will be playing? ;)

My game will be level 3 in case there are last minute additions, the characters will be simpler and easier to jump into. I will have some pregens.

*still figuring out this site* James L, what level were you thinking? and if it's RPGA legal, should we pregen?

James L., how about a level 13 game. I'll be prepared to DM an emergency game. My gf's due date is July 30 so I can't make too many promises right now.

Chris, for my game the more stuff you can bring the better. But if you're not familiar with the 3E rules, or the game in general then don't worry about it.... I will bring everything we need to play.

hi all. should i bring any books or pre-make a character?
  • Posted Jul 27, 2009 10:57 PM
If there is interest in an LFR rpga game, I could DM AKAN1-4 (level 4-7), or AGLA1-5 (level 1-4). Please reply asap so I can plan accordingly.

I plan to be there to play in the coliseum I'm also up to DM a game (4e lvl 12) if there aren't enough folks for the coliseum...though this meetup is looking sparse...we may want to just conglomerate into one big group :)

So its looking like turn out for this meetup is going to be pretty low based on the number of RSVPs so far... If I can get a minimum of 3 players interested in my game then I'll be there. However, if I haven't got 3 RSVPs by Friday, then unfortunately its not worth me running the game.

Disclaimer: I may have to cancel the game because of the birth of our baby being quite imminent. It would be great if someone could volunteer as a backup DM in that case.

Jesse, by the way, if you want to create your own characters for the game, feel free. Thats great. It'll save me a lot of time...

Its fine with me if you want to bring more people. Thats what the meetup is all about! As for continuing the story... well in all honesty its just going to be a one shot game. But who knows if it goes well... maybe, we'll see. Its hard for me to definitely commit to DMing another meetup game, as I'll probably be very busy with school in September. But maybe, we'll see what happens.

Is it ok if I bring a friend with me to play in James S.'s game? Also if we can get more people and it goes well, can we create our own characters next time and continue the story?
