THIS IS NOT AN RPGA MEETUP
To RSVP for this meetup you have to agree to a system where we take turns running games for each other. This is a subgroup of the NYC Meetups where members agree to take turns DM'ing for each other.

In order to join you have to have DM'd at least one game for the NYC D&D Meetup, either the weekend group or RPGA.

If you're looking to play in longer adventures please join, but click this Link for more description and read before you do.

We'll have just finished an adventure cycle and we'll be starting a new fresh adventure on this day! If you'd like to take part please read this link first!

4th level adventure
"Thunderspire Labyrinth"
for character creation: choose one lvl 5 item, one lvl 4 item, one lvl 3 item and use 680gp to buy more gear (magical or mundane)

Based on RSVPs it looks like we'll probably have 2 4-man tables. I might press my wife into playing tonight. She has a little experience playing an Elven Archer from Living Forgotten Realms. Her character is 4th level so I will just make a similar pc equipped per the DMG. It's probably 50 /50 she comes.

Bailey - hope it's nothing too serious

Guys -- my girlfriend has a big problem she needs my help with and I will not be able to make it tonight. I'm so sorry to back out so close to the meeting time! Have a blast without me. :(

I just found out that Slaughtered Lamb is owned by the same company that owns the Jekyll & Hyde franchise. I think a bunch of people fighting imaginary monsters is exactly what they want in the place (part of the interior)

Buying two beers at Slaughtered Lamb (who love D&D players) is better than being treated like idiots at Citigroup (where guards think you are a funny retard and only allow 4 chairs)
  • Posted Jul 29, 2009 12:26 AM
If we stay at Citigroup I can possibly make 6:30, 6:45 at the latest. We played at Citigroup on tuesday night and noone said anything about moving chairs, and that was with 6 tables of gamers. We'll only have two.

Too expensive, I would rather not go there.

I called the Lamb, and they said they don't open the dungeon for the public on weeknights. Same with Sunday. But since they have opene the Sunday for us in the past the manager might make an exception for weeknights as well. Manager in charge, Jeremy, couldn't be reached. 2127273350. James, do you have a better connection to the place?

Nick, I uploaded a copy of my character sheet here: http://www.aosinator.com/dn... . I'll be playing my 4th Level Swordmage again. If anyone else has a character sheet already prepared and needs a place for them to be hosted, please email them to me and I can keep them uploaded to you.

Perhaps we can get the Dungeon at the Slaughtered Lamb? I sent them an email and asked if we can come on weeknights.

I can maybe make 6:30, but it will probably be very tight. I plan to start taking the subway in because there is very little parking available before 7. So sometimes I couldn't even make citigroup until 7:15 after the walk. I'll post something tomorrow after I see how it goes tonight.

Is 6:30 too early for people?
  • Posted Jul 28, 2009 9:25 AM
We should all be ready to move to another location (maybe Sony) for at least this week. Should doublecheck this meetup postings Wednesday. The regular RPGA Meet-up will be invading the citigroup building with 35+ players Tuesday night. It might not go well. Also someone posted in the Citibuilding thread they were told that security would start strictly enforcing the no moving chairs rule this week. that means 4 man tables. We'll see what happens Tuesday night.

As of right now I guess I'll say I'm dming this session, but like I said someone else will have to dm next session. I have the PDF of the adventure and it's really easy to cut into pieces and give them out to dms

He hasn't rsvp'd. We haven't heard from him. The session is 3 days away and a dm needs time to prepare. We cannot tolerate dilly dallying so if I hear nothing he's out, until we start the next cycle. So we need someone else to step up. I can't spend my time hunting down people etc. I send notices out if people ignore them they're out.
