We’ve had the privilege to play in their public lobby without any cost to us, and the security personals are usually really nice and lenient with us. So, the least we can do in return is to follow their rules to the best of our abilities!! :D

If it starts to feel like a hassle, please remember that other public venues like the libraries have rules, too. At least here we can actually talk and eat!

Please keep these guidelines in mind, even though some of them seem pretty obvious:
- Please always clean up after ourselves and put the chairs back.
- The guards have been really lenient to us about the noise we make, even though we all get a little excited sometimes. However, let’s still try to remind ourselves to keep the noises down.
- Be nice to everyone in general. Make friends, not foes!
- Keep the surrounding pedestrian areas clear. Notice that the tables on the outer edges of the area only have 2 chairs. Try to keep them that way.
- Do not take pictures inside the building. EVER!
- Do not plug anything into any outlets and do not play music!
- Do not move the tables! When moving chairs, please try to pick them up instead of drag them. Some of those chairs make really loud dragging noise.
- We want to try our best to finish by 11pm. They don't ask us to leave until 11:30pm, but most players prefer to leave by 11 anyways. So, please come on time and help your DM keep track of time! :D

Additional rules on the placard on some of the pillars (they don’t really affect us, but here they are anyways):
- Sleeping, Lying Down, Sitting on floors is prohibited.
- Smoking is prohibited.
- Possession, sale or use of alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, and drugs are prohibited.
- Bicycles, skateboards, and roller blades are prohibited.
- Disorderly, disruptive, lewd or offensive behavior of any kind is prohibited. Any individual engaging in lewd behavior will be removed from the area.
- Shopping carts are prohibited.
- Unattended packages of any kind will be removed. Excessively large or obstructive packages are prohibited.
- Gambling, card playing, solicitation, distributing handbills [fliers] and the playing of radio, tapes or CD players are prohibited.
- Creating any conditions that unreasonably pose a health risk or disturb others are prohibited.
- Any individual defacing or damaging tables, chairs, doors or other building property will be removed from the area and prosecuted.”

Thanks for posting this. There is a discrepancy with the hours though - we had previously noticed that there were two differing posted signs. I do know one of the doors say midnight. So we had asked the guard on duty that night and he told us 11:45, which is consistent with what we have been told on other nights. Only one time was I there past 11:30 and the guard told us the lobby closed a quarter to midnight.

I think the 11:45 quoted time is to ensure everyone is out by midnight.

Apparently they have a real problem with people taking photos.

And moving chairs.

The reasons for the taking of pictures I understand, they are one of the main terrorist marks in the city, so they are HYPER sensitive to security issues, which definately includes photographs.

Either we respect the rules or we pay $10 per person to rent out a venue somewhere else.

The rules aren't bad at all if you consider that. :D

I'm pretty darn sure any place we rent out will have the exact same rules.

Except the moving chairs bit. Because that's what we pay for.

Did I miss something? Have the guards been giving us a hard time again?
