Great intro to Data Driven NYC for me as a 1st time attendee. Fire App was best for true social good & "you don't see that every day" component. Sift Science was fun just for the challenge of doing 90 slides & seeing Jason truly break into a sweat Really appreciated Josh's Chartbeat session - it wasn't a pitch, but rather some actually interesting (& valuable) insight & research. See you all at the next I hope. Cheers

    Scott

Interesting topics and upcoming products / services to learn about... Seemed like there were some issues with the scheduling of presenters, and although Matt made the best of it, I would have enjoyed seeing the full presentations for 1 or 2 of the companies. Additionally, I would like to hear / see more related to technical strategies, or more revealing information... Seemed like it was a collection of elevator-pitches for investors...

    Overall, good as always.

Another Great event Matt, I liked the selection of companies. From Lions & Tigers, to Fires, Triangles, Learning circles, catching Fraudsters and Hadoop Elephants in the cloud this one had it all!

My favorite of the evening, Fire Stop App. This application is used by fire departments, in route, on scene. My daughter is in the Fire Department, Rescue Squad. Charlie, maybe a dinner and a movie? Great use of technology. Sound the alarm and get on the truck, Fire Stop App, delivers.

Very much the "internet of things" in a practical yet highly scientific sort of way. Data pours off of everything we do. Mastering how we access, and employ it, is a really big deal. That's what Data Driven NYC #26 was about - for me.

I'm only going to post this once, for everyone's benefit. While I appreciate the intention, please do not use the forum to comment on the status of your RSVP/attendance. Those comments are actually automatically sent to hundreds of people (those who have subscribed to the forum). More importantly, the only thing you need to do when you can't make it is simply change your status on this site to "No", and the system will automatically assign your seat to the next person on the waiting list, as long as RSVPs are open (and RSVPs are now closed as we are 1.5 hours away from the start of the event).
