To be more precise, I'm interested in "the business of using data". We often find in our client's enterprise silos of data to which they don't have ready access, and among our goals is to connect that information--and find opportunities to fill gaps--to provide at the fingertips of end users a unified vision of their systems and their business. And we're very sensitive to the presentation layer and how end users access and use this data.
As senior consultant in the business intelligence group at Enstoa, I manage a team that creates dashboards, reporting systems, and project management systems for our clients. A considerable amount of my work is client-facing for requirements gathering, training, and communicating the value of tools that take advantage of the enterprise's data.
