Haven't gotten that special gift for Father's Day this Sunday or is the thought of giving yet another fruit/food basket getting a little old?
How about a truly original gift with a little more thought and preparation?
Calling All DIYers! Join us at our Workshop this Saturday at Bryant Park as we create hand painted silk/satin ties in preparation for Father's Day!
Even if you don't have a recipient, this craft would be good to know for any future enhancements you'd like to add to your clothing!
The workshop will be taught by our very own, Ivonne Daza Moreno, a Parsons grad, who is impeccably creative and has a penchant for the aesthetically pleasing! Ivonne introduced this art to me recently, and after looking into it further, I discovered that there is quite a vintage feel to this craft! Very interesting! Talk about a conversation piece!
Have your own design in mind? No problem! Bring your design with you, and Ivonne will create a stencil for it at the event! Cool!!
Find out how easy it is to add your unique touch to clothing!
We can limit the attendance to only 10 participants due to supplies. The cost of the ties are $6 a piece, and the cost of paints will be provided closer to the workshop date. It will still be an inexpensive and fun way to learn a craft and meet fellow DIYers!
If the weather conditions become unfavorable, we could move into one of the two indoor public spaces nearby.
Hope you can join us!
