That's right, we're holding our first ladies gaming night where no boys are allowed. Sorry guys, but it's now our turn. Same as the previous events we will have tons of games, no lines, and free snacks and drinks. Come to mingle with other lady gamers in the NYC area and bring your game on!

Games you'll expect to play:

-Halo 4

-Black Ops 2

-Super Smash Bros Brawl

-Street Fighter

-Tekken

-Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Every girl that plays a game receives a raffle ticket to win prizes! Some of the prizes included but not limited to: A new Xbox360/PS3 game, a World of Warcraft 60-day Prepaid Card, a new Headset for the Xbox 360, video game jewelry from LDH Designs, or a PSN $20 pre-paid card.

As always, any female can attend and play, but 21+ to drink. We provide water as well.

Press: Please email [masked] for press release information.

Don't miss out to start the new year with a BANG. RSVP today!

Bit late but I had a great time! It was nice having just the girls, made it a bit easier to talk and get to know so many wonderful people! Hope to see familiar faces next time. :)

I arrived very late, but I had a blast. It was probably the only time where I enjoyed getting my butt handed to me in Tekken.

Ladies, let's not create a console war within our own gender. It'll just divide us. Accept others preference for consoles just like you want to be accept as a female in the gaming community. Compassion goes a long way. :) Don't worry we will have fun on Xbox or Ps3.

      January 16, 2013

You have the power to change that! You are encouraged to bring games, and I am confident you will find other players. You can count me in!

    January 15, 2013

    • Jennifer V.

We will have a PS3 console. Some games expected are COD BLOPS 2, Playstation All-Stars, and Persona 4 Arena. If you have a ps3 game you want to bring that is muliplayer, your welcomed to do so.

Are we going to be able to use our own gamertags at the event

    January 7, 2013

    • Jennifer V.

Bringing a memory stick with you own gamertag is recommended if you want to play on your profile.

      January 16, 2013

  • christina

Then again o dont want to make it unfair

    January 7, 2013

    • Jennifer V.

We will have some female pro gamers attend so it's going to be fun. :D

      January 16, 2013

  • Jennifer V.

You can donate towards the next event which will be posted after our event this month. It'll be hard to use your own game tag at the event unless you bring a memory stick with your gamer tag on it.

      1 · January 2, 2013

Just a thought for future meetups, any chance of getting some League of Legends action? I know MOBAs are tough to finagle but just doing an after-meetup ranked team or something would be awesome. I kinda suck at most console games, lol.

    December 31, 2012

    • Jennifer V.

We're actually going to have a small LOL meetup in astoria hopefully. More details TBD. :3

      January 2, 2013

  • Maddie W.

All sounds like fun. Any one here like coin op-games? Don't forget the just above 8 Bit games in future meet-ups. :)

    January 1, 2013

  • Jennifer V.

We're happy to announce we received enough donations to make this meetup possible! Thank you to everyone that made it possible!

Any hope for Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer?

    December 22, 2012

    • Jennifer V.

The place is somewhat small so a LAN ME3 is tricky.

      December 22, 2012

  • Jennifer V.

Hello everyone! We only have 9 days left to help donate to this event to make it possible. All donations go to ordering food, drinks, and giving away prizes for the raffle. Without any help, we won't have any of that. So help us out and donate here: https://www.crowdtilt.com/campaigns/nyc-girl-gamers-meetup

Help us make it possible! Help us make this event fun and worth while!

Just out of curiosity, I know the group tags includes some tabletop rpg keywords, so would it be allowed/encouraged to plan a D&D 3.5th or Call of Cthulhu one-shot and bring it to the event? Would anybody play it?

    December 3, 2012

    • Jennifer V.

When you mean " it could be played anywhere the number of people can fit" how many people do you mean? The majority of the space is utilized for gaming, so if the Call of Cthulhu can be played along the path to the exit, your fine, if you need more room we will have to hold on that game until we get a bigger space. Thank you.

      December 4, 2012

    • Allyson C.

Oh, I meant by quiet space that the less going on in the immediate immediate vicinity the better, but I can just plan something that takes place in a noisy atmosphere in-game, like a party. For example, Sen had one idea to do a game that takes place at a corporate party a-la American Psycho. It only requires between 3 and 8ish players and somewhere that they can literally physically fit. I remember the space and I can definitely work it, I just might need to set a player cap.
