FPG Saturday Meetup - Cosi at 23 St on June 22

  • Jun 22, 2013 · 3:00 PM

Hey gang. Another fun Saturday afternoon of FPG at Cosi on 23 Street. Popular place and easy to get to. My Boggle meetup will be there as well, so we'll start out by playing Big and maybe Super Big Boggle. Other games on the agenda include:

TOSS UP - a dice game where green and yellow dice are good. Red dice are bad. Be the first to get to 100 points or nore.

BUBBLE TALK - like Apples, submit a caption for the picture shown. Everyone gets to be a judge.

5 SECOND RULE - come up with three answers that fit a given topic in five seconds. You can't repeat answers alrteady said.

TSURO - avoid running into other players or going off the board by following the lines on your path.

So as they say on that TV game show, "come on down."

Wow, what an afternoon. Seven games including Boggle. Two newcomers, Tamara and Elaine's friend Martin, who stayed after the Boggle meetup ended. Here's who won what:

Super Big Boggle (6 X 6 grid) - Martin. Higher score than the rest of us combined.
Tsuro - Angela - both games
    Guest Host - Spike (1st), Angela (2nd), Elaine (3rd)
    5 Second Rule - Elaine (1st), everyone else 2nd
Gameface - team of Martin, Spike, Tamara & Elaine
Toss Up - same team as Gameface
    Bubble Talk - Martin (1st), Alex (2nd), Angela (3rd)

A very nice day of gaming. I got to wear my new meetup shirt and give out my new meetup business cards. Going home, I saw Chris Moll on the crosstown bus. We talked for a bit. the next FPG will be in July. Take care till then.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
