Introduction
Hi I'm Janny. I founded G.O.A.L.S as a tool for women like myself that need a little help staying on track with their goals or setting them into action. I work as a costume manager in Manhattan with a busy schedule and have lots of goals in mind.
Why did you join our group?
I founded this because I needed a group that can hold me accountable and help me stay on track with goals that I set. I have many to do lists...sometimes too many and many times those goals just stay on the paper and never get done. I feel that if I have a support group that I know will be asking "did you finish A and B?" that that will give me that extra push to get something done.
Do you have difficulties setting/keeping goals, why do you think that is?
I don't have difficulty setting goals, I sometimes have difficulty finishing them. I think sometimes I just get bored and don't finish something. Other times it just seems like an overwhelming task and I don't even want to start it. I'm great working towards a deadline.
What do you do for a living and do you enjoy it?
I am a costume manager designing costumes and managing a design team. I love my job.
Do you consider yourself a successful woman? Why or why not?
I do consider myself successful because I have a great job, I have a great married relationship, friends and family. There are areas in my life that are on their way to being more successful but I just have to work on those a bit more.
Would you be committed to meeting once a month to help achieve your goals?
Absolutely, as long as it's with like minded committed women.
