New Presentation Agenda! Google Web Toolkit
The Google Web Toolkit is a platform for developing ambitious Ajax applications, and has seen a surge of adoption both within and outside of Google since it's open source debut back in May 2006. GWT was used to create applications like Google Wave and the new Google AdWords 3.0 interface, as well as a number of high performance, full-featured web applications now deployed to the world wide web. This talk will focus on some of the technical advantages that make such applications possible, as well as some of the latest advantages to look forward to in GWT 2.0.
Sumit Chandel, a Developer Programs Engineer at Google, recently relocated here from San Francisco. He spent the first couple of years in his career focusing on the Google Web Toolkit - supporting developers, presenting talks, writing technical articles and creating reference sample code. He is now focusing on the AdWords API product, working with reseller partners and developing an online AdWords account management tool for partners and agencies
Robert Hancock will present a short talk Data Liberation and the philosophy behind it and how to exchange data.
Dario Laverde will present an intro to AppEngine with a use case using Android.
This meeting is also open to lightning talks - if you'd like to present/announce/discuss feel free!
A special thanks to Sun Microsystems for the location!
