November Book Club - Vonnegut

Since Vonnegut's books are so short, I was thinking we could read Timequake and two short stories, 2BR02B and Harrison Bergeron.

Here are links to the short stories:

I asked a friend for recommendations and got a VERY enthusiastic response... probably the best suited to the group (based on what we talked about) would be Connie Willis’ To Say Nothing of the Dog. It’s got everything: female author! Time travel! Sci-Fi! Historical Fiction! Multiple awards!

Just thinking of some other female authors for next time (though more fantasy/gothic/magic realism...) - Karen Russell (though already mentioned), Marion Zimmer Bradley, Catherynne Valente, Angela Carter (never read her work but sounds interesting). I'm open to anything though! :)

For whatever particular reason I was not notified of the books for the month of November so I am not going simply because of that. I am sorry. Hopefully I will see you ladies in December!

Aw man! Well, if you're around feel free to stop by anyway. :)

Hi ladies! I snagged a table in the front. I have some Vonnegut books in front of me and a red jacket on my chair. See you soon!

Hi all! I'm new to the group. Is there a particular spot at Argo that I'll be able to find you guys?

Usually whatever big table is available - we tend to move around depending on how crowded it is! But someone generally has a copy of the book, and I can post on the meetup page where we are sitting. :)

Sorry for taking so long to post the books - it's a crazy time of year!

I would not mind reading some Vonnegut, but something obscure.
