Hey Sexton, Divest Now! Rally in support of NYU divestment from fossil fuels

After a over a year of campaiging, NYU Divest is finally meeting with President Sexton to discuss moving forward on fossil fuel divestment. We need to show him that the NYU and NYC community is watching his decision. Please join us for a rally and march to support our demand for climate justice! Your presence makes a difference on Sexton's action.

WHAT: Hey Sexton, Divest Now! Rally to Support NYU Divestment from Fossil Fuels

WHEN: Monday May 12th at 1:30-2:00PM

WHERE: South side of Washington Square Park, NYC

After rallying in the park, we will march to the President's office in Bobst Library to escort the bold students who are meeting with Sexton at 2pm. Bring a friend, share the action on Facebook, and spread the word on Twitter with the hashtag #heysexton.

What happens at NYU matters, and our institution has the unique opportunity to lead the national movement on fossil fuel divestment. If NYU is really a “private school in the public service," President Sexton needs to act with the urgency that the climate crisis demands.
