According to one Yelper:
Sik Gaek's seafood was very legit and the place was no gimmicky at all. It's the live octopus and live lobster place in Woodside, Queens with a sister resto in Flushing.
The $99.99 fresh octopus hot pot is loaded with fresh seafood and tasted so delicious. It could seriously feed up to 10 people.
It contained two live octopii (moving), live lobster (moving), live abalone, sea snail, razor clams, crab, mussels, shrimp, baby octopus, ..., in a broth (similar to soondooboo) with udon.
Out of all the sea specimens, the live lobster was the most tasty. The sea snail was great too.
With the octopus, you have the option of having one (or both) served on the side, so you can eat it raw while moving. Even 20 mins after it was cut up, its pieces would move when poked.
I think the place is open from 10 or 11am until 4am. They are located on the intersection of 49th St & Roosevelt Ave, a 15min drive from Midtown East (you can street park), or a short subway ride on the (7) to 46th St/Bliss St in Sunnyside, Queens. The resto is technically in Woodside.
If you go, order the watermelon soju too. It comes in a large watermelon, and tastes very good.
I highly recommend this place to seafood lovers. The food was fresh and delicious. It's a must for adventurous foodies! Yes, I'm talking to you, Yelpers.
