Hi! Fresh off the boat in NY, moved with work. Love adventure but living in China haven't had much opportunity past couple of years. Can't wait to be back in the outdoors. BTW i'm on the right in photo - not had a chance to dig out the harddrive yet!
Not got the routine sorted in NY yet but normally 4 times a week, cycled to work in Shanghai every day and love to escape to the outdoors whenever possible but shanghai made that pretty difficult. Did manage to go boarding north of Beijing, and surfing on the south China seas though which was *interesting*!
1) LOVE 2) never tried but my Muay Thai skills should give it a headstart, failing that my running may get faster 3) Definitely - got told the fact I loved the smell of airplane fuel was a good/expensive sign!
Not so random - White water kayacking, Camping, Snowboarding, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Muay Thai - but confess I'm a jack of all trades master of none Besides the outdoors - Drinking, Talking, Camping, Irish Low Whistle (I know - random one but you did say...!), Reading, Travel, Travel, Travel...
Crumbs, this meet up is pretty demanding. I feel like I'm at interview! Hope I'm doing ok. Well there was the time I was learning to snowboard with a much more experienced group of skiers. Pretty much white out conditions but I headed off to get a head start to not slow them down. They shouted after to swtich slopes, but in my attempt to do so I ended up off piste, boarding round trees in waist high snow (which was brilliant BTW). After decided all routes down had to lead to a road, I eventually found a cut through path but had to jump(fall really) down a 12ft drop scaring the life out of a skier, and then found my mates who were about to send out a search party and laughed their socks off. Or the time I kayacked down a himalayan river and had to stop off to bargain a chicken for the evening meal.... that was one stringy bugger that was a nightmare to catch in a wetsuit. Thanks for taking the time to read (that was the brown nosing part!!) K
