How often do you play sports or exercise? Wii Sports doesn't count!

I hiked almost every weekend. Tried to use my 40degree trainer at home as often as i can. Will the Kinect Dance Central count?

Do you like hiking, wrestling bears or jumping out of planes?

I crave for hiking, backpacking, and anything that can get me out to the wild. Bushwhacking is a lot of fun.

What other random stuff do you like to do? Any hidden talents?

tried some oil painting. i would like to do it up in the mountains/wilderness. i enjoy doing orienteering. also wanted to do some deep wilderness geocaching. and of course, i always dream of doing sunset/sunrise photography up in the mountains.

Any crazy adventure stories you'd like to share?

Did a 5-day backpacking in the southern Philippines many years ago. we hiked on 2 full days of rain, set camps near waterfalls, through an eagle preserve area and ~10k summit, trudged on tropical forests and some river crossings. A real keeper.

I love hiking, the uphill challenge, the fun being with like-minded enthusiasts, exploring the wilderness, the nature sights and lots of photography.

Can I post am item the group may have interest in ....
A BI-continental walk to raise money for an orphanage I am involved with. What is unique about this event (4/27, 9AM, Shoreham Wading River HS) is that we run or walk the same time the Kenyans do 1/2 way around the world. I would post it not as an official meet-up but just something they may want to do.

Hi Rollo- Thank you for the inclusion in this group. As mentioned, I am training physically to hike Mt katahdin in the summer of 2014 with my brother from Maine. I have not hiked much locally but learned that Nissaquague has some interesting trails. Are you planning any group meetups locally? I am reading some memoirs of hiking the AT and PCT that have me very inspired. Thank you, best to all in the new Year! Amy

Greetings Rollo, I found your twitter invite to join the hike. I just want to extend an invitation to join (or at least visit) the Mt Whitney Hikers Association website and forums at www.whitneyzone.com
We have lots of Whitney-related info for your members to see.
    Best regards,

Do you think I can do the presidential long shank? I Would not like to sign up and then not be able to make it. I notice that most people signed up are the very fast hikers. What are my chances with this group?
