RESTful HTML5 Mobile Apps with Sencha Touch and DreamFactory

Interested in building data-driven HTML5 mobile apps with modern Javascript frameworks and the latest open source cloud development platforms? Join us for a hands-on introduction to Sencha Touch and DreamFactory.

Sencha is a leading HTML5 mobile app framework with native hooks that enable you to build mobile apps super quickly. DreamFactory is an open source, standards-based backend with a great REST API and cloud services (SQL, NoSQL, BLOB storage, access control, API integration, and hosting). DreamFactory enables you to create mobile apps without any server-side software development.

Steven Brent from Sencha will kick off the event with an overview of Sencha Touch. Then Todd Appleton from DreamFactory will walk through the development of an address book app that uses the DreamFactory REST API with JSON.

This is a practical, hands-on meetup for anyone wanting to dive in and build sophisticated mobile apps with some of the leading frontend and backend technologies for mobile. By the end of the meetup, you’ll know enough to start building your own data-driven mobile apps for work or fun.

Come out and learn about Sencha Touch and DreamFactory.

There will be free beer and pizza!
