Bonjour tout le monde,
On ne change pas une formule qui marche : please join French people for our "petite fête entre amis pour l'apéro" at Ken and Cook in the heart of Nolita. If you don't speak our language-magnifique, it's fine, we don't like tough rules anyway. The word “apéro” is the name for both the ritual of going out for a pre-dinner drink, as well as the sort of drink that you would probably have at such a ritual. Invented by French people, of course. There will be low French music upstairs so its easy to converse with people : we all meet at the bar. Finally, if you want to party after 11pm, we can go downstairs at Lil Charlie's.
December 16th happens to be the birthday of three exceptionnal people :
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770)
Jane Austen (1775)
Vassily Kandinsky (1866)
Let's have toasts and share thoughts (preferably en Français) about their works and influences.
If you haven't been with the group this will be a good time to come and meet people.
Happy Hour : Clams $1 Oyster $1 Wine $7 Beer $5
