I should have read the Wind-Up Bird Chronicle before I attended it.
But I was satisfied with this meet up. Thank you.

Hey -- "Wind-up Bird" is also my fav Murakami, but, ahhh, I just can't turn down an opportunity to see Meg Wolitzer at the BBF, especially because I just finished "The Interestings," which was absolutely amazing.

Sorry for the last minute change! But I'll be back for the next meeting! (:

I went to this great Murakami event today at Book Court and feel bad for not posting about it earlier- http://bookcourt.com/events/what-we-talk-about-when-we-talk-about-haruki-murakami. Monkey Business is a literary journal dedicated to Japanese contemporary fiction, manga, and poetry. Worth checking out- http://monkeybusinessmag.tumblr.com/. I'll bring my copy to the next meeting :)

Hi Eunbi. Wind-up Bird is my favorite Murakami book, and I was really looking forward to this Meetup. But, if I attend, I’d have to miss Pete Hamill, Colum McCann, Tom Wolfe, Françoise Mouly, Art Spiegelman, and Jules Feiffer at the Brooklyn Book Festival. Please give my place to another member.

Hi David- someone else messaged me about this. So sorry you'll miss the meeting. If you cancel your RSVP, your place will be open to another member.

Message Katsuya. If still unable to attend, he might change his RSVP.

Thanks, David. However, one spot is already available. My problem is that I can't take the spot as RSVP no longer available.

The 22nd interferes with the Brooklyn Book Festival. I'll see if I can work around it.

If 22nd, I will not be able to attend this time...

      August 16, 2013

  • Taiki

Sure! Both dates are fine for me

Oh oops, Eunbi I just saw your post. Do you still want to change the date?

    August 15, 2013

    • Eunbi

Can you make the proposed date on 9/22? If not, I will keep the original date as is.
