    Vivian,

Would be great if you can share the recording link with the group.
    Thanks in advance.

The recording is huge(20+GB), so it is difficult to share it. Will work on it later.

Really good. Despite the many diversions, Ben did a fantastic job in educating the group about Tableau Public. This is what an expert should look like; -Calm, Cool and collected!

I feel the same way. Ben is great!

Wow, thanks to you both! I'm flattered. :)

I am not so sure that I am answering the query I got via e-mail today in the right space, but there we go: I thought I was going to get something for my Mathematics, something I could use to perform simple simulations with real functions, and I got something else, like a way of presenting data. If nobody knows the contents of the message I have just received, then I must tell that I got a message asking me to detail this.

    September 21, 2013

    • Shangxuan Vivian Z.

I don't know why you think this talk was about "Mathematics" and "perform simple simulations with real function". Did you go to the wrong meetup? If you read the event announcement, it explicitly showed this talk was all about "presenting data".

      September 21, 2013

  • Marsha P.

Ah, I now have found a note of the organizer saying that people are not happy with what I posted. Look, I do not think I saw these 93 people in our talk. I actually thought we had way less than that. It is not nice lying to others in public. I was saying that I have a course on Udemy in my other post and since it is a free course I offered people from here the course in return for the free talk on the Tableau. I do not understand how a freebie can annoy people, but coming from a person who did not know where the meeting was going to be on the day of the meeting and claimed to have more than one hundred people interested in it, perhaps it makes sense.

    September 21, 2013

    • Shangxuan Vivian Z.

The number "93" was calculated based on how many people signed up for this event by meetup.com. It is not nice for you to criticize about "lying" since no one ever lied to you. And if you have read the comments below your post, you would know people are not happy with the post.

      September 21, 2013

    • Shangxuan Vivian Z.

Michael and Prateek, would you mind comment on Marsha's previous post again? She didn't get why you were not happy with her post.(I got the reason, but she didn't).

Hi all, thanks very much for inviting me, and thanks for those of you who attended! It was a pleasure to meet you. I will post links to your projects shortly.

    September 21, 2013

  • Nitin k.

Do we have a recording or are we planning another session since there were people on the waitlist and others who could not attend?

    September 20, 2013

    • Shangxuan Vivian Z.

Yes, I recorded it. I invited Ben and Michael to come back next year.

      September 20, 2013

  • Shangxuan Vivian Z.

Marsha, Michael and Prateek, I have deleted your previous conversation. Marsha, people are not happy with what you posted. So it is better not to do it again.

  • Ben J.

Thank you everyone for coming and participating! I hope you got a taste of how fun it is to see data in a whole new way with Tableau. Also, please let me know if I can ever help with anything. See you all soon. :)

    People:
I have found a place for us, but only 40 may attend at a time. I am hoping we can still open a list and organize it for tonight. I am obviously counting on me being in this list. The place is called Firehouse and it is very located very close to the 85th with Columbus.

Please make it happen. This will be my second time with a cancellation coming from this sort of thing if it does not. This time, make it happen! This meeting is so cool in all... .
This is a pub, but there is a microphone and enough light for us, since they are used to turn trivias there.
The tables are long and can fit the computers comfortably, just do not know about power.
