Let’s spend the afternoon shooting at Governor’s Island!!

We will meet by the benches next to the Bowling Green Subway Station (4, 5 trains) - see top photo. Then we will go to the free Manhattan Ferry and take it to the Island. There are various events and historical sites to see. Visit the website’s calendar for additional details.

The meetup will roughly be around 3-4 hours - depending on how crowded the island is and how long we have to wait on line for the ferry. When we get to the island, we can pick a meetup point at a certain time - in case people get lost. If you wish to venture off on your own or leave the Island early - it’s totally fine. I believe the ferry runs every half hour.

• Please be on time!! Give yourself plenty of time to travel. I will not wait for late comers and I won’t answer calls or messages after 1pm.

• Make sure you dress appropiately for the weather and wear your walking shoes.

• Charge your batteries and format your memory cards.

• Bring cash, snacks and a drink to the event. There were a few food carts there when I scouted the area.

• Please do not "crash the party". This is a large group for me to host as it is. Keep checking this page frequently in case someone drops out.

• Due to the weather forecast, there is a heat wave this weekend with an index of over 100 degrees. I may have to cancel and reschedule if this does not change. Be on the lookout for my final email. If you are not on the mailing list, re-visit the group page or message board.
