I'm a member of Pints n' Purls but have not been to the gatherings lately. I moved out to Queens (way out!) and it makes it difficult to attend at Peculiar Pub. Logistically, it's just not great for me. I miss coming to gatherings, but I realize that for most people it's not as long a trip. Don't know if you have any suggestions...and it's OK if you don't.
Anyway, fill me in a little about this knit-a-long shawl. I am currently struggling along with my first lace pattern (with beads, no less).

Subject: [NYC-Pints-N-Purls] shawl k-a-l
several of us are knitting the 'holden
would/could be fun if some more pints'n'purl'ers
the pattern should work for knitters of all
levels. comments on ravelry said it was a good lace design for first time lace
and we should be able to help each other work out
if you are interested in knitting another shawl
pattern, many of them have a similar construction, so we can, again, help each
other work out challenges.
hope to see more people working on shawls at next
few meet-ups (after finishing charity afghan blocks of course...)
