THIS one should get some people interested
it's very popular on ravelry....i know several of us have it in our queues.....and there are probably a bunch more i don't know about
it comes in a variety of techniques...something for everyone
basic, original...knit , garter stitch (in several languages)
knit, lace variation...
knit  lattice/'eyelit' variation
tunisian crochet
loom knitting
if there's one they haven't done yet, and you are confident/creative.....write it out and post it
otherwise, wait a couple of weeks and someone else will
haven't studied them all yet....but challenges i noted
original, garter stitch....will give you opportunity to try short rows
lace variation - will give you opportunity to try lace techniques...and learn about charts
at first, i was thinking of doing one triangle in each of a variety or methods....but a quick look showed different number of stitches in some variations.   we could calculate how to adapt patterns, but i'm not ready to think that hard just yet
so, i am starting with the first, basic, original garter version.... got really nice noro yarn at yarntopia's sale, so i think that will work nicely.
then, i'll try lace version with less variegated yarn
if you don't have the perfect yarn in your stash....remember brooklyn yarn yarn crawl.... rhinebeck...etc
be fun to see how everyone else approaches this....
let the projects begin ....!!
