Seamen's church is a great idea.

You can try the seamen's church.  They have the Christmas at Sea program.  At one time they had a knitting room that was filled with yarn.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any ideas about where to donate wool by mail? I have several large skeins of yarn that were given to me years ago--they are packed in boxes and ready to be shipped.  I tried a NYC-based charity I found online, but it turns out the P.O. Box had been closed.  Does anyone know of any current organizations accepting wool donations?

As we ring in the New Year. I leave you with 50% ancient Egyptian thought (beer was a big deal to them) and 50% my thought.
2200 BC...
"The mouth of a perfectly contented man is filled with beer."
2012 AD...
"The hands of a perfectly contented person are filled with yarn."

Wishing you a happy and inspiring New Year filled with many pints and many new projects! See you in 2013!
Amy
