Suggestions on the first Meetup?

It would depend on were the majority of users are from and discussion advantages to the location...
A residential location of members would help. I am Living in Suffolk County L.I....

I'm also in Suffolk County (Port Jefferson).

I m from New jersey. I am ok with Manhattan.

It'll be at Meetup's HQ in SoHo. I work here. They've given me permission to host it here. It'll be 2-3 weeks before the first Meetup happens. It'll be worth the wait. Sit tight roboticists :)

I would Seriously suggest that Since there is a Direct correlation between Machine Learning/ A.I and Robotics and the members of Machine Learning are in both, why not benefit from this and link Meetups together. The benefits are as followed: 1. You can share meet up locations, singular or multiple speakers.
2. Cross membership added possibilities to the roll. 3. Project discussions and cross related discussions with no redundancy. 4. Easier to find a meetup spot. 5. Have autonomy but since A.I and Robotics go hand in hand why not link together for added value and strength, that can grow as 1 large group and projects long term. 6. Shared resources... 7. The 2 groups linked together yet seperate autonomy still
use an OS or programming and that comes from BSD or Linux or seperate programming. Seperate groups in NYC; like NYCBUG and NYLUG...

Has a date been set up since you discussed that it would be in the next few weeks?. How long before the meeting date will it be posted on line or in an e-mail.... Lastly has the group meeting at the Hall of Science in september been canceled all together.
