"PLASTIC HEROES" (Original Pilot) by Adam Taylor

Logline: After hearing about his estranged father’s apparent suicide, celebrity douchebag playboy Michael Marker returns home, planning to get his inheritance and leave. Alone in the belief that his father was possibly murdered because of his father’s secret double life as the superhero known as Toymaker, Michael becomes bonded with an AI based on his father’s personality that mentors him as he screws up running his family’s company, raising his celebutante half-sister, investigating his father's death, and protecting Empire City as the new Toymaker.

TV Genre: ( Action / Comedy / Superhero )

This is an Original Pilot.

It would be for Network, ideally on FX or AMC.4

So far, I've had the opportunity to read two really good original pilots as part of this group and the creativity and skill exhibited in both works was pretty darn good. The group has a lot of helpful information to share, everyone is very supportive, and very excited to talk about writing, story, characters and all that good stuff! Adam, ditto on previous comments and continued success!

Adam, I just wanted to pop in and reiterate how much I enjoyed the series and pilot you've created here. I think it was a good read, a good meetup, and I hope to see something come of it for you. Best of luck!

Comedy's are 1/2 Hour, Drama's are 1 hour "Network" dramas are 44 mins, "Cable" dramas are 60 mins.

"Network" comedies are 24 mins, "Cable" comedies are 30 mins.

"Episodic" dramas are self contained stories resolved in the episode

"Serial" dramas have stories resolved over the course of the season, in addition to stories resolved in the episode.

"Procedural" dramas refers to the traditional big 3 dramas: Legal, Police/Fire, or Hospital dramas. (The Practice, Law & Order, ER)

"Multi-Camera" comedy are sit coms formats (Big Bang Theory)

"Single Camera" comedy tend to be less formatted (Louie)

"Dramedy" is an annoying term for a light hearted 1 Hr Drama like Alley McBeal, Monk, Glee.
