If you've zoned out after 25 minutes of a tech talk and left the presentation remembering less than half of what you heard, this is your group. At Skillshare, we believe in learning by doing, so we're going to host regular Tech Skillshares for developers in NYC. Each Tech Skillshare will be led by a developer or leader in tech, and the format will be Learn (a quick talk), Do (you get to practice what you've just learned), then Feedback (time to mingle and share your work with the other attendees). We hope you'll join in and get your hands dirty!

Membership is by approval, and only technical people (with a focus on developers) are allowed to join.

Why, you ask? Because the goal is to have an ongoing learning group for technical people (esp. in startups) where they can level up and add to the skills they already have.

We meet on the first Monday of every month and have a speaker on relevant topics, from general topics, like how to create great engineering culture, to technology areas , like how to make the best use of Git.
