Mike Smith was the 2008 campaign director for the Labor candidate in the Australian region of Ryan, and he'll be sharing his techniques for running political campaigns on the cheap in a special Thursday Meetup.

The last time Australian Mike Smith came to America it was to deliver a presentation to The Art of Political Campaigning conference in Washington, DC. In October, he returned to help the Obama campaign in Philadelphia. On his way home, he's stopping by to deliver that Washington presentation to Tech4Good.

Please RSVP for this event--and change your RSVP status if your plans change. Since Mike is squeezing us in between a month of intense campaigning and a 23-hour flight home, we want to make sure every seat is filled.

This is a new venue for us. Make sure to send feedback after the event.

Sorry, but having finished a week of vol work here in Philly for Obama, i am staying on for BarCampPhilly on Saturday. But I have developed some smarter, more fun (AND also free or very cheap) ways to organize/build grassroots movements myself, which i'd be happy to share with members between meetings.
