Sunday Afternoon Trivia - Hill Country Kitchen on 25 St. on Jan. 27

A Sunday afternoon of trivia at a new location for this meetup. We'll be downstairs. Games include Times to Remember, Quick Wit and Initial Reaction. Here are the details:

TIMES TO REMEMBER - what year did the various events happen? Guess within the range and you score.

QUICK WIT - questions in various subjects that test your visual and mental solving skills

INITIAL REACTION - come up with famous names for the initials showing. GM, OW, ZT? Possible answers - George Maharis, Oscar Wilde and Zachary Taylor.

In addition, Ed is bringing the WORLD'S GREATEST TRIVIA GAME and the BIG BANG THEORY GAME, based on the TV show. Those arriving early will get to choose which table to sit at.

Looking forward to trying out these games. Now here are your trivia questions, based on people who recently left us:

1 Conrad Bain was the dad on Diff'rent Strokes. What other 70s sitcom was he on?

2 What was Dear Abby's other known pen name?

3 Who was Dear Abby's famous sister?

4 What baseball team did Stan Musial play for?

5 What was Patti Page's biggest hit song on the charts?

Okay, hope you can make it.

Great meetup with great people! Teach, Jonathan and Ted were there. Haven't seen them in a while. Played Times To Remember, Quick Wit and Initial Reaction. Spike won Times To Remember with 21 points. He also won Ed's Big Bang Theory Game. Cathy and I won Quick Wit and Cathy and Ed tied for the win in Initial Reaction. The latter was a little complicated with rules, but after a few rounds, we managed to get it. Initial Reaction and Quick Wit will be played again. Kareena joined us for the first time. Thanks to all who made it a fun meetup.

Played Worlds Greatest Trivia Game & came in next to last place or 4th place out of 5 with the amount of 4 bucks & got the answer right to a Television Question of name all of the 7 Castaways on the Original Gilligans Island. Then played the Big Bang Trivia Game & made it to one Character Card of Penny & played Penny in the game & got $1.23. Then played Initial Reaction & started out not knowing names of initials but tied the winnings with Kathy when we both had one card left & came with names of Katie Miller,Peter Polka, Ozzie Nelson, Edgar Bergen, Lucie Arnaz, Oscar Madison, Richard Correll, Harriet Nelson, Marylyn Monroe, Doris Martin, Lyndon Johnson, Sam Houston, Billy Joel, Andy Taylor, & Lucy Carmicheal & got some names easily after the first two.
