Friday Evening Trivia - Cosi at 23rd St on April 5

  • Apr 5, 2013 · 7:00 PM

Hey gang. Let's have a Friday evening of trivia at a favorite spot of ours. Cosi has comfy seats, good food and drinks including beer and wine and FREE REFILLS on sodas. Here's what we're playing:

SUCH & SUCH - where the answers are in pairs. Shakers found on dinner tables would be SALT & PEPPER. Hosts of "Laugh-In" would be ROWAN & MARTIN. A team game

FINISH LINES - finish the popular quote or phrase, like "A fool and his money . . " or "Early to bed, early to rise . . ."

FOR THE RECORD - a multiple choice game about music of the 50s, 60s and 70s, when music ROCKED and kicked you-know-what.

METROMANIA - about NYC trivia, with 1950s subway tokens as playing pieces

GUESSTIMATION - where all the answers are numbers

Ed's table will have the latter two games. My table will have the others. I may add a game. So sign up and join us.

Played a new game of mine called Metromania & came in 5th place but was able to answer one question about the location of Main Street which was in the Queens borough in Flushing. Also played Finish Lines & was tied in second place with another team of 8 tiles plus was able to answer quotable cliches and some songs in it.

A few no shows, but a total of 10 at two tables that merged into one. Ed's table played Metromania, my table played Such & Such. Then we all played Finish Lines as one table. Cristal and Jenna were newbies. Elaine & Eric won Such & Such. Elaine and I won Finish Lines. Evan won Metromania at Ed's table. We ended a little early tonight since most people did not want to play the music trivia game. But it was a fun evening with everyone getting along.
