NYC Writers' Support Group

I'm looking to form a small group from people who are serious about fiction writing, and who are actively doing so. By active, I mean writing to get published. This group is for us to get together and read and critique each others' work. Any genre, any age--everyone's welcome. The quality of your work, degree of seriousness, and courtesy towards the group is the most important thing. The basic format of a meeting is such: Each writer brings in 1000 or so words from whatever they’re working on that they would like to have people look at. We read it as a group or individually (depending on each writer's preference) and offer our thoughts. We'll dedicate about 20 minutes to each writer. With six writers, a meeting should run for about two hours. Simple, free, and friendly. This is not too complicated; it's just a writer's support group.
