Please read the information below carefully to see if this group is for you.
Two types of New York City, New Jersey, Long Island, and Westchester walks are offered:
(1) The organizer will talk a lot about the architecture, history, and sculpture in a neighborhood. These are walking tours that will stop at a number of points of interests and last about 2 1/2 hours. During the walking tour, you will still have some time to socialize with others.
(2) The organizer will offer some commentary, but you will have plenty of time to socialize with others in the group and enjoy the scenery. These are sociable walks/events that go through historic neighborhoods, along scenic waterfronts, in public parks, and to artist studios, historic houses, festivals, and museums. (These walks are not walking tours.) The pace (slow, moderate, or brisk) of the walk will depend on the organizer.
If you are registered for a walk and can't attend, please change your RSVP online. This might allow someone else to go. A member who incurs an excessive number of no-shows will be removed from this group and not be allowed to attend events. Thank you for your cooperation.
