Why do you want to write your autobiography, what are your plans for it?

I want to share the lessons learned and my roadmap for how to get from here to there. I plan to publish a series of short books chronicling various aspects of my life.

Describe your past writing experiences. What kind of a writer are you - a beginner, a novice, a pro?

I write for a living but legal/business writing is very different than creative writing. I have been working on my memoirs off and on for the past 5 years and, since September, I decided to focus a majority of my time on that process.

Unlike many writing groups, this group emphasizes supportiveness and is less focused on intense critique, though many people who attend are accomplished writers and provide helpful, balanced feedback. What does this mean for you?

I have been a mentor, teacher and a manager and am known for having a collaborative environment. I want to be a sponge and soak up all there is to learn in this space - meaning I am very receptive to feedback.

Are you more interested in one-time Meetups with a low level of commitment, a moderate weekly commitment of 10 weeks with some flexibility, or an intense weekend event with a high level of commitment?

I think I would be most interested in a moderate weekly commitment of 10 weeks with some flexibility. However, I would also like to learn about the intense weekend event.

Confession time - how good are you at maintaining an accurate RSVP for your other Meetup groups?

I am dependable. I commit to the appointment and alert others in advance if there is something that requires that I change my plans.

I am driven to share how I overcame some very challenging experiences in my life to become a successful executive.
