Hello brainy readers, I could use a little help from those who are willing.

*Update as of Jan 26th - We are 87% of the way there - we need 4 more (25 total) RSVPs to cover us through the next fee payment. Your help is MUCH appreciated.

Every six months, meetup.com charges me an organizer fee to host our group. For a few years (until last August), I had another meetup group who covered the fees of this group, but as I am no longer organizing that group I now need your help to pay these fees.

If you are willing, you can pitch in by RSVP'ing to this stub meetup for one or more spots. With the service fee taken out by amazon payments, I need a minimum of 25 RSVPs to cover my August 2012 and February 2013 payments.

I'm hopeful that out of our large membership, there are at least 25 of you who have enjoyed our group enough to make this small contribution and think this is a fair way to do so. I am wary of imposing a mandatory dues requirement on the group at large, as I think it discourages new member joins.

Thanks so much. Your contributions - in person at our meetups and this small monetary contribution, are very much appreciated.

    Just by way of information because someone had asked - pre-2010 we had a per-meetup fee payable in cash at the time of each meetup. I think this way is much less awkward and more convenient. Especially since some months we only get 5-6 people. Thanks again to those who have contributed so far.
