NYC Physics & Math Self-Learners: Quantum Field Theory

From: Barry M.

Would anyone be interested in working through David Tong's introductory lectures on Quantum Field Theory?

Discussions could start with a review of non-relativistic quantum mechanics and special relativity and progress
to canonical quantization prescriptions and Feynman diagrams.

Dear Autodidacts,

Please note that we are now on the calendar of the Brooklyn LaunchPad for the first Sunday of every month, 4-6 pm, in perpetuity. So at the very least these are our regular monthly meetings, though we are of course free to add other ad hoc gatherings, Google+ chats, Susskind/Feynman/Tong/Balakrishnan screenings, and what have you.

The Brooklyn LaunchPad is at 721 Franklin Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11238, near the Franklin Ave. stop on the 2/3/4/5 and C trains. Please put the first Sunday of every month on your calendars.  The LaunchPad does not charge us to use its space because its staff loves us so much, but it doesn't hurt to put a few bucks in the contribution box on occasion to show our appreciation and keep the lights on.

- Matt
