I wish there was a rails guru there offering help to those seeking it. Giving 10 minutes or so to each person.

I had so many questions and I got none of them answered :(

where would we submit questions? Right here in the comments?

unknown. But something that can likely be organized in an ad-hoc-way next hackfest.

Here's my feedback of the Hackfest for what it's worth worth...
    The positives:
    *It's free
    *Great space
*Good food, drinks and snacks. Thanks Josh!

    The negatives:
*No one's in charge so there's no sense of purpose other than to just work on your own.
*Nice people, with the exception of one person who sat next to me briefly who was there just to eat.
*More people RSVP'd than showed up. People should be more considerate of the organizer's hospitality.
*A bit too short. 2 hours flew by quickly.

I recommend a few things to improve future Hackfests.
      1. Have someone act as an organizer at the event to set down some ground rules and let people know what's going on, if Josh doesn't want to do it.
      2. Have name tags - leave a packet of sticker with pens so that people can write their own. Require people to use it.
      3. Have 3 color button stickers perhaps green, blue, and red. People who are noobs at programming should put a green sticker on their name tags, blue will be intermediate, and red will be serious pros. This way we have a way of identifying who's who and who to go to for some help.

Cool, I learned how to write my name in Korean :) Scarlet letters for noobs - just kidding :)

Meet, socialize and network tonight with Josh, Bryan and many others at the meetup. It is one of the most popular events in NYC today!

We built an easy-to browse/search page for/with all attendees:

    Happy networking!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
