Re: [NYC-rb] Merchant Account Recomendation

Hi Eric,

Have you looked into http://feefighters.com? You essentially get to reverse-auction your business and merchants bid on your account. I don't know of specific merchants to recommend, but that kind of funds-holding should be disclosed up front and you could find merchants that don't do that.

Disclosure: I have no stake in the company, although I'm friends with the CEO's brother.

Best,
Daniel

Hey All,

My company was just issued a notice from our current merchant account that they are going to start holding two months worth of funds.  For a small start up like mine, this is totally unacceptable as we need that money to grow.

Does anyone have a recommendation on good merchant accounts out there that wont try pulling these types of shenanigans?

Thank you,
Eric

P.S. We are already using Authorize.net for our payment gateway, and they are working out fine.  Otherwise I would switch to a all inclusive service like BrainTree or Stripe.
