You won't have a hard time finding work at all.

Im a frontend developer and got a full-time gig in my first week.

Come with enough money to pay for the deposit / downpayment for rent and you should be fine.

Worst case scenario, you can pull remote work while you're here.

Check out the Temp-to-Perm hiring agencies if you're in a bind.

Hi NYC.rb,

My name is Tim and I'm moving to NYC in two months from Australia via Singapore.

I have 10 years experience in software, 5 years with Ruby and Rails.

I'm wondering if anyone can give me their opinion on the freelance/contract market there. Will I struggle to find work? What's the best way to make myself known?

Thanks in advance,
Tim
