I used Vacuum before, it did pretty much what I think you wanted. Check this out , it's deployed on  , hope it helps.

Has anyone played around with the Amazon Affiliate program and its API?

In General:

I'm looking to build links that include my search term (e.g "Bodum French Press"), along with my credentials, and get a cut
for referring people there. A big bonus would be being able to limit search results to sellers that meet my criteria (good ratings / many transactions)

I know the API returns results, and some of their sprawling and verbose end-points
look like I can get prices out of them - but they also seem to have draconian throttling.
It would be awesome to hit the API and get the price (so I can show the Amazon price in my app's views)

Ruby Libraries:

Is there a super popular library most people use? So far it looks like amazon-associates is popular,
but last commit was two years ago.

But Alas:

My modest discovery shows Amazon provides no sandbox environment and doesn't
give credentials for sites that still "under construction."

Your Reward:

If you've messed with Amazon Affiliate / Associate program in the past and have any
war stories or things you wish you knew when getting into it - I'd love to hear from you.
If any of my above assumptions are way off base - I'd love to hear from you.

I will buy you the free beer of your choice on the GORUCO yacht.
But only on Satutday night...after that...the ship has sailed on my offer.
