Re: [NYC-rb] Good cafes in manhattan for hacking?

Alejandro - I've been to some test driven 2 hour talks there, in the main room for 200 people - do they do stuff in smaller groups in any of the rooms? I got the impression that the rest of the space is small private offices --- do you happen to know who to contact there?

Boris - That's great. I will definitely contact them, affordable space which is somewhat set up for projecting from laptop...

I'd love to see a list of places like this, similar to the hack friendly coffee shops list ----
tks

Is there a list of spaces that are suitable for a moderated workshop/ study group scenario with a projector.. A lot of these collaborative office spaces just quote corporate rates... A bit too high for a free workshop

Just wanted to put it out there again and ask for some more collaboration to keep it updated. Or, if anyone has any better suggestions, please share

Thanks

I saw everyone was adding links to google maps and though maybe this should just be a map mashup.

I've created this collaborative map, everyone can add/edit the contents called "Where can I code?"

I started by adding Ace Hotel, I'll add the other locations from this thread in there along with the comments people have made about the venue.

There's probably a good list/wiki of this online somewhere already,

It's publicly editable, so feel free to add new entries or correct any

I tend to gravitate towards places that have killer coffee, and
unfortunately the majority of them don't have comfortable (or any) seating
to work in.  Hope this is helpful ..
