Let's get together and run in Central Park. This run will be beginner-friendly, but we welcome runners at all levels. We will be running anywhere from 2 - 6ish miles depending on what everyone is looking to do.
The main starting point will be at 90th and 5th on the east drive.
Here are some options:
6 miles: Run along the full outer loop of the park. The hills are more challenging if you run counter-clockwise.
4 miles: Run along the outer loop but cut across the 72nd st and 102nd st traverses.
3.3 miles: Run around the reservoir twice.
1.65 miles: Run around the reservoir once.
If you need to drop off your bag, please arrive 10 mins early. You can drop your bag at the NYRR office at 9 E 89th st. They have small lockers and a general area to leave your items. You will need to bring your own lock
Once everyone is together again after an hour or so, we can grab a quick Jamba Juice near by and enjoy our refreshing drink on the park benches. If people want we can also have a regular sit-down brunch nearby. We can use this time to talk about running in general and about everyone's fitness goals for 2013.
