I am a student of the Arabic language. I am of Arab descent (Hadramaut, Yemen) and have lived all my life in Singapore and New York and am very interested in reconnecting with my cultural heritage.
I can read and write using the traditional Arabic alphabet having been taught it as a child but have little understanding of the spoken language.
I have visited Egypt several times to meet relatives from all over the world on a family business matter and also to visit friends.
I found this group by researching the internet as I am interested in practising spoken Arabic. I am also a belly dance student and love the Arabian culture.
I have worked in non-profits as a trainer and publicist.
I am currently working in public relations for a government agency. My dream job is to travel and write and perform some community service in the process.
Hello, Wasfiyah. Happy New Year....
Are you taking any language courses?
I have a great teacher at ABC Language.
You should consider it :D
