How long have you been dancing?

Since 2001.

Have you preformed at any public events? If so, where?

Austin, TX, lots of local stage events and regular performer in mideast restaurants.

What is your favorite bellydance style or fusion?

I'm kind of basic raqs sharki, some Americanized, but would love to learn more, esp. Turkish and haliji. I enjoy watching all styles performed.

Who have you studied with? Yousery Sharif, Mahmoud Reda, Morocco, Tarik Sultan, Ariana al Tiye, Nounhan Sharif, Rayhana, Gamila El Masri, Jehan, Anahid Sofian, . . .

Locals in Austin, maybe not so famous but fun! Zein Al Jundi (Syrian), Pat Taylor (American), Khedi (Algerian), Melissa Amira (American), Lizette and her group (American), Lucila (Columbian)

What are you looking to gain from this club?

I'm pretty busy weekdays and live in NJ, but weekends would like to find classes, workshops, or outings to see some dancers. I quit dancing 7 months ago when I moved here and am itching to get back into it.

Introduction

I danced in Austin, TX and was active in the belly dance community, worked Mid East restaurant gigs on a regular basis for about 4 yrs. I also danced for a Jewish Klezmer band and did some Israeli folk dance. Recent transplant looking for community.
