Would you like to propose an alternative to the word Bright? Remember that your suggestion would have to meet the requirements set forth in the official Brights website.

Many feel that the term "Bright" is a little cocky, even Christopher Hitchens thinks so. I'm not sure of an alternative.

Introduction

Am I a "Bright?" Well I definitely feel more enlightened than people who believe that hurricane Katrina was whipped up by god to punish fornicators in New Orleans, or that droughts and crop failure are caused by adultery. So yes I am a Bright.
