Come celebrate Canada’s 142nd birthday the best way we Canadians know how – in the great outdoors with good friends and cold beer.
Please join the Canadian Association of New York (CANY) for a “Canada Day Patio Party” on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 6:30-10:00pm at the Boat Basin Café (W79th Street and the Hudson River), one of New York’s finest treasures. All Canadians and friends of Canadians are welcome.
Admission is $10.00 for CANY Members and $20.00 for Non-Members, which includes a complimentary drink and hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar with drink specials will be available throughout the evening for our group. Advance payment is necessary. Tickets may not be available for sale at the door.
As part of the CANY Membership Drive, all pre-paid members of CANY in attendance will receive a free round-trip ticket from Porter Airlines, thanks to their generous support. Please note this will only be available to those CANY members who did not already receive this gift at a prior CANY event.

Directions:
Take the 1 subway to W79th St., walk as far west on 79th Street as possible, cross Riverside Drive on either side of the street. Walk underneath the green highway overpass bridge bridge. Staircases on either side will lead you down to the Boat Basin Cafe.
