If u can always say it is used goods. If you have the receipts or visa bills to prove it even better. I've never had a problem and have moved in and out of canada many times. But always better safe than sorry. They are usually looking for specific things to catch people out on. They are unlikely to care about personal items. But if you bought a computer or TV etc in the US it would be good to declare it... For whAt it's worth. Good luck.
