Photoshop is the single most powerful tool in the industry. There is no question about its capability, the creative possibilities that it provides are virtually endless. There is almost nothing it can’t do. Great, but how do we do it. The problem really is that it’s so powerful that it offers several ways to do things. It can be extremely complicated and frustrating to use at first, and so most people simply give up. Knowing how to use Photoshop is knowing how to be a better photographer. It is knowing not only how to take, but how to produce better images. The only thing that matters is the final product, the photograph.
Using Photoshop opens up a world of creativity and possibilities otherwise not possible. It also allows the adept user to produce an image precisely as it was envisioned. This is class is designed to get those who are ready and willing to be produce better images, to break out of the crowd and harness their true creative, more acclimated with this program. The goal is to get the student up to speed with the interface and layout and to provide a level of comfort and foundation to build upon when working towards harnessing the power of Photoshop.
