Hello Yappy Hour members!
Groundbreaking research conducted by scientists at Duke University, Harvard and Yale has concluded that dogs’ unique way of thinking and reasoning is much more individual and less tied to its breed than previously thought.
These new insights can be used to better understand your best friend; his or her unique personality and way of thinking and reasoning. Why is she staring at you for what seems to be minutes at end? Why does he do one thing when you are looking or doing something together, and something completely different when you are not around? Why is she not learning a command that you have worked on for weeks?
To help bring these scientific insights to benefit dogs and their owners, with the goal of helping you better understand your best friend for a more enriching relationship, Dognition.com is launching a Beta Test Program inviting dog owners to participate, for free, in a pre-release of this service to get early access, help evaluate it and to provide valuable feedback before it is launched to the public early next year.
The assessments, or games, are conducted by you together with your dog in your own home, using common accessories such as cups and dog treats. The results of the games are an engaging and easy-to-read report presenting your dog’s scores and personality profile, and recommendations tied to your dog’s unique cognitive style.
Beyond the program’s potential to enhance the relationship between you and your best friend, the results of these tests will also help scientists further develop our understanding of dogs in general, to the benefit of all dogs.
