FREE Test Screening this Saturday night of THE LADIES OF THE HOUSE!

  • May 18, 2013 · 10:45 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Hey ya'all! One of our members, Justina Walford, has just invited us to a FREE "secret" test screening of a new indie horror movie that she just co-wrote and produced! They are screening the film (THE LADIES OF THE HOUSE) this Saturday night at 10:45pm in the Howard Gilman Theater in the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center in Lincoln Center.

She is even providing some refreshments prior to the screening. Please RSVP so she knows how much drink and popcorn to get for everyone.

Here's a rough cut early trailer she did while shooting:

Here's the IMDB info (she's in the midst of title change):

THE LADIES OF THE HOUSE follows the events surrounding a birthday outing with two brothers and a friend which turns into a horrific fight for survival after they become trapped in a house with a "family" of vintage-styled, malevolent, cannibalistic women women.

Watch these three hapless men who underestimate the power of the femme fatale or the ladies who see men purely as ingredients - who will you root for? Sorry, boys. Birthday's over.

Think about it like this: What if THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE was committed by women? Or the maniacal family in THE DEVIL’S REJECTS was 100% female? Death. With a woman's touch.

Smart women, vintage dresses, bloody gore. It's kinda like if Leatherface was a pin-up girl.

Thank you so much for coming out! We're pouring over the feedback right now and it's such a help. You guys really made it a blast for me and John.

it was good, except for flashbacks in the beginning of movie of things that didn't happen yet. doesn't make sense. maybe it was supposed to show you something evil is on it's way. which is obvious anyway, it's a horror movie. just kills the surprise a bit.

Well organized! Fun first effort from Justina Walford! Wish everyone involved the best of luck with the film!

I think it's a classic! I think the ending may need a short voice-over to explain itself. No new footage needs to be shot....just a voice-over. Otherwise, it's really, really good!

Okay, kids. We got a private room set up. Look for the lady in the blue tie (me). I'll take you to the VIPish room.

So, I look a little different than my picture. I got curly hair and I always wear a tie. So if you're not sure who to talk to, look for the curly haired Asian lady in the tie. That tends to narrow it down.

As the film starts at 10:45pm, I'd advise people to get there earlier, at least by 10:15, so that we can all meet n'greet, and maybe even have a quick drink. If you can't find me when you arrive, call or text me at (347)[masked]

David. The theater is in Lincoln Center's Elinor Munroe building, the orange one. Everyone can hang out in the lobby if they get there early and there's a nice little restaurant/café/bar attached if you get there early and want more than popcorn and soda. The film is without composing and color/sound correction and we're hoping to get feedback from people before we head off to do that.

So after the screening, we'll have a really short questionnaire for people to fill out or you can share your feedback verbally at the Q & A afterward.

Jaycey. John and I learned a lot producing our movie. I'd love to talk afterward about the process. We got lucky by having a lot of great help but we still have a lot to learn.
