What is the 8 week holding rule?

Congratulations Avi, amazing 21% jump on huge volume! It might qualify for 8 weeks holding rule. I bought LNKD on a break out gap-up on Jan 10. Unfortunately for me I sold the stock before announcement because had only 6% profit. How do you decide to go thru the earnings?

Achieved a 28% ascent today, from the pivot point. While I sold today and locked in solid 21% gains, this may still turn out to be a gap play, or even a 3wk / 20% growth story although it took 4 weeks and not 3. What do you think?
