Dog days of summer. Doggier days for the stock market. Doggone-it!
At least you can't have a bone to pick with our meetings. (Ouch.) Last week's session with Jim Farrish was our highest-rated meeting yet (4.71 out of 5.0). And we are a tough audience to begin with!
It's not too late to sign up for next week's (7/13) program with Sean Kim, a former market maker who'll share his insights on gaps and momentum trading. http://www.meetup.com/NYCPrivateInvestors/calendar/13948820/
It's also not too late to hop on board for our first anniversary gala (7/11), incorporating Manhattanhenge (your last opportunity this year to experience this man-made marvel of nature!) Think about it: a block-long all-you-can-eat sushi buffet with enough fruits and veggies to stuff a Vegan and enough hot chafing dishes to satisfy, well, a food hound. A mad dash into oncoming traffic for the best view of this spectacular sunset. The astounded look of clueless motorists who don't know what the heck is going on. Plus great fellowship and the sharing of trading war stories, gripes and gloats. Please join us! http://www.meetup.com/NYCPrivateInvestors/calendar/13880078/?from=list&offset=0
Also: please update your reservations if your plans change, so no-one will be turned away.
MORE UPDATES: We now have an assistant organizer (Ron B.) to help monitor our web activities and keep our business processes sharp. We can also print meeting labels. (The good news: we know who's there and can greet eachother by name. The bad news: we know who's NOT there and can wreak vengeance upon no-shows.) And we have a boffo charter sponsor, Traders Press, extending a 20% discount to all NYC Private Investors, for all of their exclusive publications. We'll keep working on more and better benefits for you, our members.
Okay, I pledge to stop with these dog puns. You don't even have to tell me to bark off. Perhaps I'll switch to doggerel verse...
